Cards are physical, drawn at the table or before our call. There are no apps, no random number generators, no synthetic decks.

Confidential, by default
Recordings are encrypted, deleted on request, and never quoted. Nothing said in a sitting is ever shared without your written consent.

Honest, even when difficult
The cards are read as I see them. There are no scripts, no upsells, and no pretending an answer arrived if it did not.

How a sitting unfolds.
Each reading follows the same quiet shape, refined over seventeen years.

You write a single question
Three days before the sitting, send one paragraph. Not the answer you hope for — the question you keep returning to.

The deck is prepared
Your question is held with the deck the morning of the sitting. Hand-shuffled, never online, never algorithmic.

We sit, the cards are read
In person or by encrypted video. There is no script. We move slowly through what arrives, and what does not.

You receive the record
Within 24 hours: the audio recording, photographs of the spread, and — for Threshold and Oracle — a written letter.
The Reader
Iliana Verthe.
Trained in Lyon under Jean-Marc Aubert in the Marseille tradition, and in London with the Hermetic Arts circle. Maison Lunaire opened in Verbier in the autumn of 2009 and has remained, by choice, a single-reader practice.
She reads in English, French, and Italian. She does not appear in podcasts or write a newsletter. The work is done at the table.

Questions, often
Before you arrive.
Is this fortune-telling?
No. The cards are not used to predict fixed outcomes. They are read as a structured conversation with what you already know but have not let yourself say. Many clients describe the work as closer to depth therapy than divination.
Do I need to believe in tarot for it to work?
No belief is required, only honesty in the question. Skeptics often have the most useful sittings, because they are unwilling to pretend an answer arrived if it did not.
How private is the reading?
Strictly. Recordings and notes are stored encrypted and deleted at your request. Nothing said in a sitting is ever shared, quoted, or referenced without explicit written consent.
What if I don’t know what to ask?
Write what is loudest. We will refine the question together in the first ten minutes of the sitting. The Whisper is not the right format for clients without a defined question; consider the Threshold instead.
Cancellations and rescheduling?
Free up to 72 hours before the sitting. Within 72 hours, 50% is retained. The day of, the full fee is retained — though we will always reschedule once, in good faith, for emergencies.
